Spend a few minutes visiting with Geoff Diek and it won't take long to understand that he is a therapist who is passionate about his job. As Vice President of Specialty Programs for Guardian Home Care Holdings, Inc., parent company of Texas Home Health, Geoff oversees the therapy component of three specialized programs: Safe Life Orthopedics, Safe Life Fall Prevention, and Safe Life Cardiopulmonary — or, as he describes it, "three specialized programs which can make a significant difference in patient outcomes."

Point the conversation in the direction of what these therapies are doing for Texas Home Health patients and Geoff will talk at length about the skills, talent and experience that his team of therapists possess and, as a result, the positive difference they are making in the lives of their home care patients. “We are very proud of our team and continue to strive to be on the cutting edge of our ever-changing therapeutic advancements by providing evidence-based outcomes for the improvement in patients' lives,” said Geoff.

Some of the most exciting components of the Safe Life programs are the ability to generate patient-specific scorecards, which can demonstrate a patient’s progress during the entire course of their home care experience, he explains. The three standout specialty programs identify Texas Home Health patients with specific disease processes in order to assist older people and their families with in-home care arrangements during their return to premorbid activities.

"The introduction of these specialized programs into our rehab program is exciting for all of us," said Geoff. “But most exciting of all is that we'll be able to offer tangible outcomes to our referring physicians and the difference we'll be able to make in the lives of their patients.”
