This month, in observance of Occupational Therapist Month, I want to take time to recognize the professional and highly skilled Occupational Therapists who make up the Guardian Home Care and Texas Home Health teams. In particular, I want to recognize the work that these individuals do to provide quality care to our clients. I am especially excited with the many new programs that Joe Pickavance, our director of Rehabilitation Therapies, is developing. These programs and others like them will make a very real and dramatic difference in the lives of the patients we serve. Occupational therapists can be effective and important components of a successful patient care team. And, when working within a team-focused approach, in conjunction with our highly talented nurses, aides, rehabilitation and speech therapists, these individuals are able to improve efficiency and maximize outcomes for our patients. We are especially fortunate to have some of the best of the best on our team and look forward to the opportunity to serve our clients toward greater independence and quality of life.
